Celebrating six years of BashSupport Pro

Published

BashSupport Pro is six years old now and we’re celebrating with the pricing of 2020.

A Brief History

Version 1.0 was released on February 26, 2020. It started as an extension to the JetBrains Shell plugin of the JetBrains 2019.3 IDEs and added a few features like bashdb integration on top.

In the next years, BashSupport Pro became a standalone plugin and added important features like “Go to definition”, “Find usages”, quick documentation, run configurations, bats-core support, formatting with shfmt, integration of ShellCheck, remote development via run targets, much more and finally long-awaited support for Zsh.

Today, after six years and close to 4,500 hours to make it, we are at version 5.0.8.

5.0.9 is right around the corner with improved support for JetBrains 2026.1 IDEs, which will be available very soon, too.

Celebrating with 2020 Pricing

To celebrate, we’re offering the original pricing of 2020 until the end of April.

You can purchase any license (personal or commercial) at the original pricing. The offer is valid until the end of April. Licenses are available on the JetBrains Marketplace, as usual.

Thank you for being part of the BashSupport Pro community!
