Reset Your Shell Script File Extensions

There’s a bug in JetBrains IDEs, which breaks editor support if more than one plugin was assigned to the same file extensions.
Please vote for IDEA-297533 in the JetBrains issue tracker to get this fixed.

BashSupport Pro already attempts to fix this automatically, but sometimes this fails and manual intervention is necessary.

Please follow these steps if you’d like to use the JetBrains Shell plugin after uninstalling BashSupport Pro:

  1. Ensure that plugin “Shell Script” is enabled at Preferences > Plugins > Installed . Restart if you’re prompted to do so.
  2. Open Preferences > Editor > File Types .
  3. Scroll down to item “Shell script” in the list of file types.
  4. Add file name patterns *.bash, *.sh, and *.zsh in the table at the top to restore the initial settings of the JetBrains Shell plugin.
  5. Restart if you’re prompted to do so.
